Safer Recruitment

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and all members of staff and volunteers are expected to demonstrate this commitment at all times.

As part of the Safer Recruitment process we will only accept complete application forms, not CV’s.

Any employment offer is conditional until the School has obtained the following:

• Fully completed application form;
• Right to Work in the UK;
• Identity check including sight of photo ID and birth certificate;
• Sight of original qualification certificates, including QTS qualification;
• Criminal Record Staff Declaration form;
• Disqualification declaration form;
• Barred list check;
• Prohibition check for those undertaking teaching work;
• S128 check for those staff in a management role;
• Online Social Media checks;
• Two approved references;
• Medical checks;
• Enhanced DBS (and where relevant an overseas check).

Retention of Records

In accordance with GDPR legislation, all personal information relating to a successful application will be securely saved in a staff personnel file.

All information for unsuccessful candidates is destroyed 6 months after their application.
